Here’s how to install Android on your Orange Pi 5 Plus:
1. Prepare Your Setup
- Download the required Android 12 image from the Orange Pi download page.
- Ensure you have a good quality Type-C data cable.
- Download the following tools:
- Rockchip Driver (DriverAssitant_v5.12.zip)
- Burning Tool (RKDevTool_Release_v3.15.zip)
2. Burn Android to eMMC

Connect the eMMC Module
- If your board has an eMMC expansion interface, insert the eMMC module into the development board.
- Install the Rockchip driver from DriverAssitant_v5.12.zip.

Enter MASKROM Mode
- Press and hold the MaskROM button while powering on the board.
- The burning tool should detect a MASKROM device.

Burn Android Image
- Open RKDevTool and select the Android image
.imgfile. - Click Upgrade to start burning.
- After completion, the board will automatically boot into Android.
- Open RKDevTool and select the Android image
3. Burn Android to a TF Card (Alternative Method)
- Prepare a TF Card (8GB+ Class 10 or higher)
- Use SDDiskTool to Burn Android
- Download SDDiskTool_v1.72 and the Android image.
- Insert the TF card into your computer.
- Open SDDiskTool and select the Android image.
- Click Start Create to burn the image.
- Boot the Board from TF Card
- Insert the TF card into the Orange Pi.
- Power on the board; Android will start automatically.
